4th of July Party Tips

If you’re attending a 4th of July party this week, here are some great tips for making it an great experience. From what to bring the hostess to recommended foods, we’ve got you covered.

  • Food: If it’s a potluck situation, try bringing cake-pops for dessert. They are easy to transport and can be stuck in fun arrangements. Since it’s the fourth of July, you can buy an assortment that comes in red, white & blue.
  • Dress: 4th of July parties tend to be on the casual side. Try to wear something where you can feel comfortable enough to be hanging out outside with it and that also seems appropriate to be near a pool, river or lake.
  • To bring: Wine is almost always an acceptable hostess gift (although you may want to check first to make sure they drink wine). We of course suggest bringing a bottle of our sauvignon blanc to be chilled and served at the party or saved for later. It’s a great, crisp, summer wine.
  • To play: If you’re not bringing food or something else along those lines, consider bringing a fun game to play with everyone. Outdoor games are great in the summer. Might we suggest Bocce ball? Or even a simple board game like “Apples to Apples” that can be played outside on a patio table with a group of people.

We hope you have a great 4th of July! From all of us at Whitehall Lane Winery, cheers!
