The 2011 Reserve Cabernet was made from grapes grown in four of Whitehall Lane’s seven vineyard properties. It included select rows from the Leonardini Vineyard, Millennium Vineyard and Oak Glen Vineayard. The wine was aged in 80% French Oak and 20% American Oak barrels for 20 months.

WINEMAKER NOTES

This 2011 Reserve Cabernet is highly attractive with concentrated black currant and black cherry flavors and aromas that are balanced by oak and tannin. It maintains refined elegance and finesse from the initial aromas to its velvety mid-palate through to its long silky finish. Enjoy this wine from today to 2022.

THE VINTAGE

The unseasonably cool weather in spring and summer delayed bloom and slowed ripening in 2011. Fortunately, our vineyards are located on the Napa Valley floor in St. Helena, Rutherford and the Oak Knoll District where the grapes attain full maturation even during a cool year. September and October brought ample heat allowing the fruit to fully ripen with rich, beautiful flavors. A lighter than normal crop and leaf thinning also aided the ripening process.
