WINEMAKER NOTESThe Leonardini Vineyard Cabernet comes from one of our most prized vineyards and is the owner’s name-sake. It is located on the western side of the valley floor in the St. Helena AVA, which is celebrated for its exceptional gravelly-loam soil. After being hand harvested and de-stemmed, the fermentation was kept at 82°F for ideal extraction of aromas and flavors. The wine was then aged in 50% new French oak barrels and 50% neutral French oak barrels for 26 months.
THE VINTAGE2014 has been heralded as one of the best vintages to come out of Napa Valley. The weather was ideal from bud break in the early spring through to September 16th when the grapes were harvested.
