Over twenty years ago our family started a wine legacy. A legacy filled with responsible farming, quality winemaking and a superb customer experience. Today this legacy takes its next step forward with our latest milestone, the launch of Tre Leoni, a family blend that defines our pride and love for wine.

Three Lions

Three generations of Leonardinis have spent their life in dedication to wine. In honor of our family and craft we crested our new label with the name “Tre Leoni,” or “Three Lions.” The Leonardini name means “little lion” in Italian. The name is a testament to our fierce commitment to becoming kings of the wine world, an homage to the leadership and ingenuity of our parents and grandparents, an honor to the pride our family takes in every bottle.

Italian history is rich with lions. Family crests, flags and architecture traditionally depict lions to represent the prideful and strong attitude that us Italians are known for. The winged lions of Venice have graced the city since the early 800’s or better. With Tre Leoni, we continue this symbol and strength for generations to come.

Heritage Worthy Wine

We have created a distinctly memorable wine for our first vintage of Tre Leoni. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah; sourced mostly from our seven estate vineyards. Our award winning winemaker, Dean Sylvester, crafted 2,500 cases of this inaugural 2010 vintage.

Select blocks of grapes were harvested in 2010 with our sights set on creating a blend that our family would be happy to share with our guests. The cool summer days let the grapes hang a little longer than normal and allowed the flavors to gain intensity. After fermentation, the juice was aged for 20 months in American and French oak.

The result of three years work is a wine that is ferociously fun and fit for a night with friends or a fine dinner table. It’s a fruit forward wine with plenty of ripe berry and cherry that has a bright and silky finish.

With a limited production of 2,500 cases, we decided to keep the wine close to home, with retail sales at the winery or online at www.whitehalllane.com. At $24 per bottle, it is affordable for all occasions. Select Napa Valley restaurants got their hands on a bit of the first batch as well for you to enjoy with the fine cuisine of Napa Valley.
